Chloe's mobile phone strap.

A little tutorial on making your own handphone strap. It's really easy!

Let's get started!

You will need a few stationary, charms and tools.
1. Ribbon (I use a pretty blue gingham ribbon from Korea.)
2. A pointed flat nose plier. (for opening and closing jump rings)
3. Mobile phone strap
4. I don't really know what you call this, but I call it a ribbon clasp.
5. A flat nose plier. (also for opening and closing jump rings)
6. Charms ( I use a cute little brass bag charm (look a little like a Chloe bag, hence the name), you can use type of charms)
7. 7mm jump rings (need to have enough space to fit everything)
8. A pair of scissors
9. A ruler.

Now measure the length of the ribbon to about 4 and a quarter inches. Not too long, unless you prefer it really long. Go ahead! :) It's your own.

cut the ribbon. (seriously, why do I need text for this? obviously this shows "cut the ribbon" duh me)

snip the corners, you will figure you need to do this or your ribbon will stick out.

apply a little epoxy glue to the ends to stop the fraying (nail polish will work just as well), pinch it together and hold for a few seconds.

slide the ribbon end (or you can stuff =x) it into the ribbon clasp, using the flat nose plier, pinch both ends shut, so the end of the ribbon stays inside.

Finally, open a jump ring and put the bag charm and the ribbon clasp in, close it and ta dah. You are done!

P.S: always remember to bring one end towards your direction, never force open a jump ring, cause you will distort the shape and your charms will fall out.

Do you like this tutorial? Have you created one of your own? Let me know! :) I could post them up here if you like.

Too much effort, but you want to own one of this?
You can buy it here at my etsy store for $8. :)
